Experience
Glenn has been in public accounting since his graduation from college in 1990. During his career, Glenn has provided accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to many of the firm's construction, environmental consulting, manufacturing, distribution and nonprofit clients.
Glenn’s client base is comprised primarily of general and specialty trade construction contractors. In addition to assisting with traditional audit, review, compilation and tax services, Glenn also provides consultative services to his clients including tax and financial planning. He interfaces with bonding companies and banks to assist his clients in gaining access to and maximizing surety and bank credit lines. He also provides assistance in merger and acquisition transactions, and succession planning. Glenn has developed an extensive network of professional service providers, specializing in serving the construction industry, which he draws upon as resources to better serve his clients. These professionals include bonding and insurance brokerages, attorneys, banks, software and hardware consultants.
Education & Affiliations
Glenn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at
Geneseo,
NY,
in 1990; the same year he passed the Uniform CPA examination. In 2004, Glenn took and passed the inaugural Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional exam and earned the CCIFP designation, passing the inaugural exam in 2004. The exam tests one’s knowledge of construction accounting, reporting, taxation, surety, legal and other issues surrounding the industry. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Associated Builders and Contractors, Associated General Contractors, and has served as President of the Orange County Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association.
Speaking Engagements
Glenn has been ranked highly as a speaker on both a national and a local level (based on evaluations by seminar attendees). He has been invited to address many construction industry groups regarding construction accounting, taxation and management reporting issues as well as how to use technology to improve the estimating, scheduling, job control and accounting functions. In his numerous talks given to business owners, he has also proven to be an effective speaker on topics ranging from profitability, to financial reporting and general business issues.
As part of the firm’s in-house training program, Glenn has conducted seminars covering a variety of technical topics. In addition, he helped develop the firm’s standard tax provision spreadsheet, which calculates both deferred and current taxes. Glenn's articles on better ways to run a construction company have been published in several trade magazines and newspapers.
