Mark G. Cook, CPA, MBA is a tax partner at Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP, Certified Public Accountants & Management Consultants. Mark is part of the Orange County office in the tax services practice.

Experience
Mark has more than 22 years of tax experience in inbound international, Federal, State and local tax services. His clients have ranged in size from emerging small and mid-cap companies to Fortune 500 businesses. Mark joins SLGG having significant experience working with venture capital participants in providing acquisition due diligence and structuring alternatives. His focus on Federal and State tax services includes expertise in corporate planning, tax compliance, accounting for income taxes (FAS109), and review of tax controls and FIN 48.

Mark spent more than 16 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a tax partner, preceded by four years with Ernst & Young. Industries served include: consumer markets, manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, higher education, mining, refining, and broker-dealers.

Education and Affiliations
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University with majors in Accounting and Economics, and he earned his MBA from the University of Arkansas. Mark is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He served as a co-chairman of the 2000 Mid-America Tax Conference.

In the community, Mark has contributed his time to KWMU (an NPR affiliate) as a board member and treasurer, and as an Allocations Committee member of the United Way. Additionally, he has taken on voluntary leadership roles as a board member for Junior Achievement and the Youth and Family Center.

Mark is an accomplished speaker, writer and contributor to local and regional publications. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
