Richard S. Polep is a partner at Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP, Certified Public Accountants & Management Consultants. He co-directs the Securities Industry Practice Group and oversees the firm’s quality assurance.
Experience
Over the past thirty-eight years, Richard has worked as a certified public accountant and has gained extensive expertise in all facets of accounting and auditing. He has led audits for publicly held companies in a variety of industries, including: manufacturing, distribution, health care, hospitality, gaming, and financial services.
Richard has substantial experience in the financial reporting and disclosure rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission. His expertise also includes audits of New York Stock Exchange public companies including initial public offerings, private offerings, corporate acquisitions and reorganizations, and litigation support. Richard has also served as an expert witness.
During the course of Richard's public accounting experience, he spent thirty-one years with an international firm that was ranked in the top ten. He was a partner with that firm for over twenty-four years, prior to joining SLGG.
Accomplishments
Richard has served as an instructor for the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Securities and Exchange Commission Practice Section Executive Committee.
Education
Richard graduated from the University of Southern California in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is currently an active member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
