Rachel Rico, CPA, CCIFP is a partner at Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP, Certified Public Accountants & Management Consultants. She contributes her expertise in the Construction Industry Practice Group.
Experience
Rachel has worked in public accounting since 1995 when she joined the firm as staff in the assurance and advisory department. She works with private companies, including family-owned, professionally managed or private-equity funded, to provide financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, due diligence, and other advisory services. She works with the executive team to provide perspective on business issues and risks identified during this process. Her experience includes assisting companies with mergers and acquisitions, cash flow forecasts, bid rate analysis, overhead analysis, to a variety of industries including, construction, manufacturing, distribution and service.
As part of the firm’s in-house training program, Rachel has conducted numerous seminars on accounting, auditing and related subjects. She serves on various committees within the firm and is involved with the firm’s recruiting efforts.
Education & Affiliations
Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University of Fullerton, in 1995, and passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountants examination that same year. In 2007, she passed the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional exam which covers a variety of topics including construction accounting and reporting, tax matters, and surety issues. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Construction Financial Management Association, and Financial Women International.
